Data Scientist

Come join our Patient Experience Machine Learning team as a Data Scientist to use your data science skills to help fundamentally transform patient experience by making it predictive, connected and proactive. The ideal candidate will be a core member of the development team and will work closely with product management to deliver our solution to market.


Core responsibilities

  • Use advanced data analysis methods (from machine learning, artificial intelligence, applied statistics, etc) to assist in building predictive models of healthcare and patient experience outcomes from one of the largest integrated medical records database in the United States, including large amounts of both structured and unstructured data
  • Extract, clean, and validate data in preparation for analysis, starting from raw data in a large relational database
  • Carry out exploratory analyses and prepare reports summarizing our analyses
  • Collaborate with a range of researchers, including clinicians, computer scientists and statisticians to design and execute analyses
  • Assist in developing improved data science methodology in relation to healthcare data
  • Assist in publishing papers on our findings, systems, and methodology


Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field (computer science, statistics, informatics, physics, computational biology, etc.)
  • Proficiency in programming with R and/or Python to carry out data analysis in large and complex datasets
  • Experience working with relational databases using SQL or willingness to learn
  • Ability to move projects forward independently with moderate support
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Passion for advancing healthcare research through creative use of data
  • Strong communication and collaborative research skills required
  • Experience using version control and reproducible research (git, knitr, etc.) is preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical record data or clinical databases preferred

Full Stack Developer

Come join our Patient Experience Application Development team as a Full Stack Developer to use your development skills to help fundamentally transform patient experience by making it predictive, connected and proactive. You will join a strong, collegial, friendly, and talented team of computer scientists, statisticians, and clinicians at PX Pulse.


We are looking for a reliable and experienced full stack developer to implement cloud-based customer facing user and administrative portal apps for our patient experience solution. The apps will provide tools for patients, caregivers and hospital staff. The portal and apps will feature dashboards showing statistical information using charts and plots.

The ideal candidate will be a core member of the development team and will work closely with product management to deliver our solution to market.


Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our UX/UI designer to implement the management portal
  • Develop web front end using Ajax calls to API server
  • Create documentation for reference


Requirements

  • Excellent programming skills in JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Experience with React or other JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience with chart libraries such as D3.js and Chart.js
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Experience databases such as MySQL, AWS Aurora, etc.
  • Experience with development tools such as Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercial web-based application software development experience


Desired Skills/Experience

  • 4+ years development experience with JavaScript in an Agile and/or DevOps environment
  • Experience developing commercial solutions deployed on cloud services such as AWS or Azure
  • Ability to learn latest libraries and languages
  • BS/MS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

Digital Marketing Specialist

The ideal candidate will be a core member of the marketing team and will work closely with product management to position our solution in the market.


Core responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Design, build and maintain our social media presence
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Fulgent English in speaking and writing are required.
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing and demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools and experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
